Too Soon

So long September clings to summer’s green
So soon does life deny that sacred dream
Too early do the summer sparrows fly
So soon a fleeting moment passes by

Some years were lived, some years were quickly lost
It’a love that always pays the bitter cost
Too soon the passing seasons turn to years
Too soon a rainbow always disappears

Too long it seems to take for life to start
Too long does love consume a  weeping heart
We can’t reclaim the love we once denied
Too soon a fleeting moment passes by
